Takedown Piracy Introduces Tip Page to Report Infringements

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. — Takedown Piracy today introduced its tip page for Internet users to report copyright infringements.

The company said that its tip page allows fans of movies, books and music to directly support their favorite artists.

The company believes that the best way to combat piracy is through educating and working with consumers.

“I am extremely excited to launch the tip page,” said Nate Glass, owner of Takedown Piracy.

“It allows everyone to join in the fight against piracy.  While Takedown Piracy has developed tools like the Aikido Program capable of removing hundreds of thousands of infringements in a day, it is important to combat illegal downloads from all angles.  The tip page gives fans the opportunity to be a hero and protect their favorite artist’s material.”

The company said that more eyes provide Takedown Piracy with additional support in seeking out illegal downloads.

Users are asked to report the copyright owner and a link to the infringement.  There is also an option to report the good deed to Twitter followers.

Takedown Piracy is asking users to make sure what they are submitting is actually a copyright infringement and not something done with the permission of the copyright holder.  The company said violations will be followed up on and removed.  Those interested in what happens after they report a violation may learn more here.

Takedown Piracy monitors leading piracy culprits, providing clients with monthly breakdowns on its progress and tracks several different ways content may be pirated, providing widespread coverage.

Takedown Piracy offers protection in areas such as cyberlocker sites, torrent sites, tube sites, auctioned or unauthorized DVD resellers, search engines, image hosts, blogs, forums and social media.
